Hawkesdale
For such a small town, Hawkesdale is blessed with services.
There is a highly reputable P-12 college with excellent facilities, and a public swimming pool (which the college uses for lessons and sports), shire-run preschool and daycare, a general store and post office, and a long-established art gallery.
As with many towns in Moyne, sport is the strong-beating heart of the community. Here again, Hawkesdale is fortunate, with successful footy, netball and cricket clubs for seniors and juniors.
Hawkesdale - home to around 310 residents, including 91 families – is just 30 minutes inland from Port Fairy and 20 minutes from Koroit.
Occasionally property comes up for sale, including currently large lifestyle blocks for under $200k. But it's a tightly held market.
