Getting Here Is Easy
Moyne is an easy journey from both Melbourne and Adelaide, making it perfect for a long weekend, working holiday or extended stay.

Travel via the scenic Hamilton Highway through Geelong and Mortlake. The journey is approximately 288 km and takes around 3.5 hours.
The most direct route is via the Princes Freeway (M1) and Hamilton Highway (B140).
For a more leisurely option, take the coastal route from Torquay along the iconic Great Ocean Road — it’s a few hours longer, but well worth the time.

Continue west along the Great Ocean Road to Allansford, then travel through Warrnambool to Port Fairy.
The trip is approximately 100 km and takes around 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Travel along the Dukes Highway, turning south at Keith onto Riddoch Highway. After arriving in Mount Gambier, head east along the Princes Highway directly to Port Fairy.
The journey is approximately 575 km and takes around 6.5 hours. -
Travel with V/Line from Melbourne to Warrnambool via the Melbourne rail network. From Warrnambool, a coach service connects directly to Port Fairy.
The full journey takes approximately four hours. -
If you’re self-driving, remember to plan regular breaks to avoid fatigue. The TAC Pause Stop program, run in partnership with the Victoria Tourism Industry Council, offers pop-up rest stops at selected Visitor Information Centres throughout the year — a great chance to stretch, refresh and recharge before continuing your journey.
