Woolsthorpe

People come from far and wide to Woolsthorpe, especially on weekends.

The redeveloped Union Station Hotel has put the tiny town on the map, popular with Moyne locals and visitors alike for its great food, live music and fabulous playground.

Woolsthorpe has schools and general store. The excellent primary school, which holds regular community events and open days, makes the town popular with families, and the general store/post office is highly valued by locals. There are buses to secondary schools in Hawkesdale and Warrnambool, and V/Line buses travelling between Warrnambool and Hamilton pass through Woolsthorpe.

The township is proud of its strong sense of community and its very active cricket club, Spring Creek, who are creative guns at fundraising. Woolsthorpe is a potential growth area with land rezoning being mooted. Its central Moyne location also makes it particularly appealing, with Koroit just 10 minutes away and Port Fairy and Warrnambool about 30 minutes. Woolsthorpe’s population of around 370 residents comprises 111 families.
