Sol’s Pantry

For Jose and Jono, the family behind Sol’s Pantry - Port Fairy’s newest wholefoods market – parenthood planted the seed for a business that has finally found its home on Bank Street.

“Our dream was born not long after we had our firstborn, Sol, seven years ago,” says Jose. “We sat down and mapped out a plan and what our goals were. Of course, that’s changed and evolved and over time, it’s become Sol’s Pantry.” So, what can you expect to find on the shelves? Quite a lot, as it turns out. “I think we offer a different type of shopping option to what’s normally available in Port Fairy and Moyne Shire,” says Jose.

So, what can you expect to find on the shelves? Quite a lot, as it turns out.

“I think we offer a different type of shopping option to what’s normally available in Port Fairy and Moyne Shire,” says Jose.

Sol’s Pantry is built around natural foods, thoughtful sourcing and sustainability, with nuts, spices, flours, lentils, local dairy, broths and stocks for gut health, and much more.

Customers can bring their own containers to refill shampoo, conditioner and body wash, while refillable laundry detergents and natural spray-and-wipe products help reduce household waste.

“People have said our town has needed a shop like this, which is wonderful to hear,” says Jose.

“Locals have been so kind in supporting us as we get off the ground, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who comes through the door, even just for a look.”

For Jose and Jono, Sol’s Pantry was always intended to be a welcoming space that reflected their own values and the things they choose to bring into their home.

“The business is a representation of us. We wanted a space for connection, nourishment and thoughtfully sourced products like what’s in our home,” says Jose.

“Most importantly, we wanted to show our kids that if you really believe in something, you go for it.”

You’ll find Sol’s Pantry at Shop 2, 8 Bank Street, Port Fairy. Stop by, say hello to Jose and Jono, and see what you discover. In a place like this, you never know what might catch your eye.
